The staff were cute and the atmosphere of the whole place was warm and charming. It's just a short walk to the Abbey Church of St Mary and St Melor at 500 meters.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, including excellent service from Grace, who made us feel welcome with her attention to detail, and ample parking made our stay convenient and enjoyable.
Limited dining options with an early closing time for food, which may not suit everyone.

The fact that the staff were very friendly and that there was a functioning pub within the hotel which was well supported by locals helped to create a nice atmosphere,along with a roaring log fire to welcome you....

Historic hotel with old world charm. The above question to put a descriptive word against the George Hotel, none applies. We used the hotel as a rest stop while visiting Stonehenge
As Australians travelling throughout the UK, we found that the lack of basics such as a small refrigerator in the room is a necessity. None of the other hotels that we stayed at provided a refrigerator either so the George was not alone on this issue.
